I bought these because my son loves trains and we've used them a bunch to make cookies (for friends, for his birthday, etc). It's great the way you can store all the pieces inside the big one and they snap together to stay that way. The engine is a large cookie and sometimes that's all you need. The little cutters allow you to customize your cookie by putting windows and wheel holes (or other holes) on them. They cut well and are easy to clean. They were a good find!

I wanted to make my son a Thomas train cake for his birthday. I looked at all the train cake pans, and googled other peoples train cake pictures and I couldn't decide what to do. Then I came across these cookie cutters.I decided to just make a regular old 9"x13" cake and then I topped it with decorated train cookies. I think it's much easier to decorate some cookies, rather than make a crazy shaped cake. The size of these cookies fit diagonally across my cake, with plenty of room above and below for the birthday message and candles. Plus, since we are a family of "train enthusiasts" I'm sure we will enjoy train cookies for years to come, where as a train cake pan may loose its usefulness quickly.It's also lots of fun to cut out the wheels and windows with the little cutters. I'm sure my boys will enjoy making cookies with these when they get a little older. I also like how all the pieces fit together into one small object for storage.

these cutters just do not seem to work very well it does not seem to want to do a nice clean cut
