Look, it is simple. The Fox Run cookie cutters (I purchased the Dolphin and Starfish) are pathetic. If you needed a quick fix like I did for an upcoming event...go ahead and buy these. Then you can pack them off to the thrift store where they will be sold for the appropriate price of about 10 cents. These are made in China, have barely-welded seams; disfigure (bend) as easy as you could imagine; and won't last past this one cookie bonanza I am working on. It's okay if you want to spend money on them as a disposable cutter. Otherwise, do as I will do in the future and look for Wilton products. This is in no way a reflection on the seller I purchased these cutters from. Package was great (well done) and fast.

Make sure your dough is thick when you use this. When the dough is too thin, the tail will not come out of the cookie cutter. It will get stuck and rip off. I didn't have this problem when the dough was thick though. I used this with a sugar cookie dough to make dolphin cookies for my sons dolphin birthday party and they came out great.

I bought these to make cookies for my daughter's birthday. It is a bit of a pain getting the dough out of the nooks of the cutter but thats on the outside so the cookies themselves turn out fine. Just keep a knife handy to pry away the dough. I think this cookie cutter will last for a while, it seems pretty sturdy to me.
