Great piece, no instructions

I thought this was a very interesting piece but some instructions or recipes would have been helpful. I'm not a professional baker and I wasn't really sure how to use it. A baker who really knows what they're doing would probably find this cutter much more than adequate. Hopefully, I can figure out how to use it in the near future because I'm a big fan of vol au vent (I've had it once in my life). Is there anything that puff pastry isn't good for?
